OUR BUILD PROCESS

The Robuk Engineering Process

At Robuk, we take pride in our ability to design, engineer, and manufacture custom-built trailers that meet your exact requirements and exceed your expectations. We have a detailed and comprehensive design and manufacturing process to ensure that our customers receive high-quality, custom-built trailers. Here is a breakdown of each step in our process:

OUR DESIGN PROCESS

  1. 1Our sales and engineering team works with you to specify your trailer requirements.
  2. 2Our engineering team then creates a 2D layout drawing of the trailer(s) with your prime mover.
  3. 3We 3D model the complete trailer(s) using our bespoke designs, which have been developed over years of real-world testing in the harsh Australian environment.
  4. 4If you require any customisations, we will 3D computer model them and use the latest FEA computer modelling to ensure their durability.
  5. 5Completed designs are stored securely on our server within your digital job folder.
  6. 6Workshop drawings are developed from the designs.

OUR MANUFACTURING QUALITY CONTROL PROCESS

  1. 1Our purchasing team sources all the necessary items to build your new Robuk trailer(s), with long-lead time items held in stock to ensure timely delivery.
  2. 2Our workshop floor is divided into five work areas: Steel Bay, Ally Bay, Fit Out, Small Hot Works & Machining, and Quality Control & Wheel Alignment.
  3. 3The Steel Bay and Ally Bay work areas start simultaneously to fabricate your trailer(s). Once the chassis is completed in Steel Bay and painted, it moves to Fit Out.
  4. 4Fit Out installs the running gear, electrics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other accessories.
  5. 5The body is then installed onto the chassis, and the tarp is fitted.
  6. 6We undertake testing, PBS certification (if applicable), wheel alignment, detailing, and quality control. As your trailer(s) approaches quality control, we will notify you of the pick-up date.
  7. 7When you arrive to collect your trailers, we will conduct a “handover” with you. During this time, you can ensure that the trailer(s) meet your customised needs. We also perform final testing on your prime mover to ensure that all trailer functions are operating correctly, making sure your Robuk trailer is roadworthy.
